Hi, I'm Rachel.
I’m an independent interior designer that has helped clients build with Lucke for many years.
I love guiding clients through the build process bringing to life a unique, custom home that reflects the best version of what you’ve been dreaming of.
If you’re like most clients, you know what you like when you see it but don’t have the time or experience to create a holistic look from a seemingly endless number of individual selections/decisions.
That’s where I come in.
What to expect
I take a comprehensive approach working with you from the initial architectural review to final completion translating your inspiration pics and wish lists into your dream home.
This process includes:
- Attendance at all meetings – offering advice and recommendations as appropriate
- Guidance during showroom meetings and taking you to vendor facilities so we can pull selections directly from the complete portfolio of what’s available (tile, lighting, countertops, plumbing fixtures, carpet/flooring, mirrors, cabinets, hardware, etc.)
- Help in designing built-ins
- Ideas to add “wow” factor
- Guidance regarding where to potentially save money vs. where to splurge
- Preparing electrical plans for field
- Preparing hardware schematics for field
- Ongoing visual documentation of designs for reference
- Help procuring and bringing samples to all appointments to ensure a comprehensive design with all elements complementing one another

Kept this new white kitchen remodel warm and inviting by adding light wood tones in the wine storage piece, lights and hood. Kept it pristine with hidden storage such as a large appliance garage, pullout paper towel cabinet and panelled fridge. Kept it maintenance free with leather counter stools. What a treat to host a client meeting at @meyerbrothersandsons78 new, gorgeous offices and to be working with them yet again. Between them and the new Pilates studio build-out I’m doing in Hamilton, Hamilton is becoming one of my favorite places to visit. It’s had such a glow up within past few years full of boutique shops, great restaurants and unique coffee spots… full of charm. Definitely worth checking out.

What a lucky baby - soon to be born into an amazing family and to sleep (hopefully soundly) in this new nursery! Mom loves hot air balloons and was gracious enough to give me the freedom to do tone-on-tone neutrals with hints of moss green and paprika for a soothing room to grow into. Not sure if my favorite element is the suspended cloud mobile, suspended woven hot air balloons, other-worldly mural wallpaper or the watchful stuffed llama ❤️

Large scale wallpapers tend to have the most impact and offer a fresh, updated look. Even an old-school floral reads modern on a large scale. This new powder room looks classic yet fresh and completely envelops you in whimsy when you walk in. Love.

New primary bathroom - simple, classic, calming and inviting. It’s the details that matter such as the custom blue runners (thank you @rgcincy), the taupe extra tall doors giving a soft contrast to the off-white walls and the stone floors in the walk-in shower.

Client wanted a neutral dining room that was not too formal for regular dining but still elegant. For neutral tones we kept walls a pale gray with blue undertones and paired with a neutral rug and chairs. To elevate the space we added wallpaper below the chair rail with a hint of gold in it to tie in the chandelier and mirrors. Touches of green, pillows by the window and fully upholstered dining chairs keeps the space warm and approachable. Love that we finished this just in time to host Thanksgiving!

Talking to a client today about the beauty and timelessness of the imperfect zellige tile. You’ve likely seen it in white - but don’t be afraid to do a backsplash with color. One of my favorite kitchens I’ve done I love for its simplicity and beautiful colored zellige. Who wouldn’t fall in love with a tile named “Tea Ceremony”.

Primary bathroom renovation - perfect complement to kitchen renovation posted yesterday by incorporating the same “light wood” slatted tile. Balanced blend of modern and urban farmhouse client was looking for.

Wood tones, deep greens, soft blacks, brushed brass and cream gave us the perfect palette for this kitchen remodel. Rich, neutral, colorful but still warm and bright. My favorite details might be the woven touches on the pendants or the antique brass railing on the coffee station. We carried that railing into the bar area - stay tuned for that! Pulling it all together is the tub accent wall with complimentary arched tile in pale warm gray, chunky quartz countertops, marble floors, fluted sconces and woven blinds & chandelier.
